Το ΣΚ που πέρασε είχα την χαρά να εξερευνήσω ακόμη μια φορά την αγαπημένη μου Αθήνα! Το Open House Athens ήταν η αφορμή!
Αν δεν το γνωρίζεις, το Open House Athens ανήκει σε έναν από τους σημαντικότερους διεθνείς θεσμούς για την ανάδειξη και την προώθηση της αρχιτεκτονικής. Η ιδέα του Open House ξεκίνησε από το Λονδίνο το 1992 και από τότε έχει εξαπλωθεί σε πάρα πολλές πόλεις του κόσμου. Πρόκειται για μια δράση που προσκαλεί το ευρύτερο κοινό να ανακαλύψει δωρεάν μέσα σε ένα διήμερο δημόσια και ιδιωτικά κτήρια!! Και έτσι η κάθε πόλη γίνεται ένα μουσείο με εκθέματα τα ίδια της τα κτήρια!! Ωραίο δεν ακούγεται;
Θα μου πεις τί σχέση έχω εγώ με την αρχιτεκτονική! Κι όμως το κάθε κτήριο έχει να σου πει την δική του ιστορία, όπως ήταν και το φετινό μότο! Εσύ δεν θέλεις να μάθεις γι’αυτήν;;
Φέτος δεν πρόλαβα να επισκεφτώ πολλά, αλλά τρία ήταν αυτά που ξεχώρισα! Και γι’αυτά θα σου μιλήσω!
1. Πρώην Καπνεργοστάσιο Παπαστράτος
Δεν είμαι καπνίστρια ως γνωστόν! Αλλά είναι ένα κομμάτι της ιστορίας της πόλης μου, του Πειραιά! Και αφού άνοιξε πρώτη φορά για το ευρύτερο κοινό….καταλαβαίνεις, ήμουν περίεργη να το δω από μέσα!!
Έμαθα πως χτίστηκε την εποχή του Μεσοπολέμου, την ίδια εποχή περίπου με τα εργοστάσια του Κεράνη και του Χρωπεί στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του Πειραιά. Επισκέψιμες ήταν το ΣΚ μόνο οι παλιές εγκαταστάσεις όπου συσκευάζονταν τα καπνά και οι παλιές αποθήκες. Πλέον μετατρέπεται σε ένα σύγχρονο πολυχώρο-μουσείο που σκοπό έχει να αναβαθμίσει την περιοχή κοντά στο λιμάνι.
2. Δημαρχείο Αθηνών
Ομολογώ πως ήταν από τα κτήρια που πιθανά δεν θα έβλεπα άλλη φορά αν δεν ήταν το Open House Athens.
Κι όμως με εντυπωσίασε με τα ψηφιδωτά και τα βιτρώ του. Και την εντυπωσιακή είσοδο. Οκ κάποιες αίθουσες ήταν πολύ banal, αλλά ας μην ξεχνάμε πως είναι ένα δημόσιο κτήριο φτιαγμένο για κάποιο σκοπό. Η καλύτερη κατά την απόψή μου αίθουσά του είναι το γραφείο που έχει φιλοτεχνήσει ο Φώτης Κόντογλου!
3. Ιλίου Μέλαθρον (Νομισματικό Μουσείο Αθηνών)
Ξεκίνησα να πάω να το δω την Κυριακή που πέρασε, αλλά ήταν τόσος πολύς ο κόσμος που έπρεπε να φύγω για επόμενη υποχρέωση!! Επομένως, οι φωτογραφίες από το εσωτερικό που θα δεις είναι από την προηγούμενη επίσκεψή μου σ’αυτό το ιστορικό κτήριο!
Το εμβληματικό Ιλίου Μέλαθρον στην οδό Πανεπιστημίου σχεδιάστηκε το 1878 από τον αρχιτέκτονα Ε. Τσίλλερ (αγαπημένος μου!) για να στεγάσει την κατοικία του στενού του φίλου Ερρίκου Σλήμαν (ναι, του αρχαιολόγου που ανακάλυψε την αρχαία Τροία). Στις μέρες μας φιλοξενεί το Νομισματικό Μουσείο. Ομολογώ πως όταν το επισκέφτηκα πρώτη φορά έμεινα με το στόμα ανοιχτό κοιτώντας το ταβάνι, αλλά και το πάτωμα σε κάποιες αίθουσες!!! Έχει και έναν εκπληκτικό κήπο και ένα πολύ cute cafe στο οποίο μπορείς να κάτσεις και να απολαύσεις το καφεδάκι σου μακριά από τη βαβούρα της πόλης!
Ξέχασα να αναφέρω νωρίτερα πως o θεσμός του Open House πραγματοποιείται την άνοιξη στην Αθήνα μας. Και τον Νοέμβρη και στην όμορφη Θεσσαλονίκη. Μμμ……και κάτι μου λέει πως θα είναι μια αφορμή για επίσκεψη και σε άλλες χώρες του κόσμου!! Γιατί έχω την Βαρκελώνη στο μυαλό μου τώρα που το γράφω;;
